This is the second part of the post published last week where we can learn more about listening to our own body.

Listen to your body.

Don’t do anything with it; just hear its language. You might only pick up one message; you might pick up more. Let it speak to you. This is the essence of somatic bodywork. Be the listener you always wanted others to be, when you did your best to express something.

You don’t know how? This is part of the fun of personal development – don’t try to know. Just be in the receiving mode. Close your eyes and let your body talk to you. Breathe and feel – is any place hurt? Do your lungs feel as if they need more air? Is there any tension somewhere? How does your back feel? Does your body like the posture you are in? Can you feel your bones? Can you feel your hands? Are your shoes comfortable? Are they pressing against your feet? Is there a difference between one side of your body and the other? Is there any pressure? Where? How satisfied is your back? What would the spine and vertebrae say if only they could?

Don’t have an opinion (I know that it is not easy), only listen and let every part of your body tell you its story. Their stories, which ultimately are your own.

During the next few days, listen to your body. You might find out that some things will happen naturally as a result of that (changing uncomfortable shoes, eating differently, moving more, moving less, stretching). This is life change in motion.

But remember. All that you must do is listen.
