Last week I published an article about self development plan that had to do with our ability to connect to our feet and body. By doing this, we open the possibility to connect to much more. Here is a simple practical application to practice it.

Relate to your feet as the focus of your hour, day or week (as you wish).

Feel the floor through your feet, just as you feel what you touch through your hands.

During the day, whenever you find a moment to remember, move your feet in any way you can imagine. If you walk, find interesting new ways of walking. Walk on one part of your feet more than the other, walk faster or slower, press the floor more than you normally do, press the floor with a specific part of your feet.

Always feel the floor underneath you through your feet.

Walk in different styles and notice how it affects your feet – what happens to your feet when you move your hips a bit more than usual? What happens to them when you walk with a straight back?

Be curious of what you could sense through your feet. Think of your feet as another place from where you can sense the world and be curious to how situations change when your feet become attentive. Changing your life can start even in the simplest of places.
